The Juwel Carafe, a well-loved classic, celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2003. Originally designed in 1918 for the Pullman cars of American railroads, this vacuum jug has adorned the coffee tables of generations. Alfi remained true to the original form, minus a few subtle contemporary adaptations.

The Juwel Carafe features the AlfiDur vacuum hard glass liner, a metal handle, and a hinged cover with stopper. The double-walled AlfiDur vacuum hard glass liner keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold. Before assembly each glass liner undergoes an operational test. Other outstanding features include:

• The hinged lid provides single-hand operation and is food safe.
• The twin-walled AlfiDur toughened hardglass liner creates a vacuum between the walls, allowing neither heat nor cold to escape; 100-percent performance tested.
• The seal prevents the escape of radiant heat.
• The body of the flask is comprised of high-quality raw materials e.g. copper and brass. Top quality is achieved by hand craftsmanship.
• The seals/screw fittings are food-safe and quality-tested. Each part can be replaced or repaired.
